Statement

History and contemporary events are two main themes that flow through my work.  Traditional motifs are used in conjunction with the bright flat colors and the bold lines of the pop artists, combining older styles and forms of art with one that is distinctly modern.  The elements of folk art, medieval art, pop art, graphic design and illustration are woven together to lead the viewer into a new space to confront the forms and narratives that are presented.
