Freedom Fighters

  My work deals with of the overlap of history and modern times. Freedom Fighters is a series of portraits of notable women - more specifically their shoes. The paintings give you a feeling of how it is to walk in her shoes by depicting what the shoes would look like at the end of the day, knowing this prominent woman was wearing them to push forward the role of women in society and break new ground.
